Qualification Round

The applications will be reviewed from 1 August 0:00 CET until 31 August 30 September 23:00 CET (update as of 26 August 2024). Incomplete applications or applications not respecting the conditions mentioned in the “Applications Round” section will be considered void.

The valid applications are sorted based on the country where the applicant studies.

The valid applications, sorted as stated in the previous point, are then randomly distributed by the Organizing team among the four cooperating universities (e.g., applications from students in the Czech Republic can be assigned to the Polish cooperating university but also to the Hungarian or Slovak cooperating university, but not the Czech university).

At the four cooperating universities, the applicants will be invited to a short online test to assess their knowledge and motivations. Applicants can be shortly asked general questions about their interest in and knowledge of international business.

The test will last 10 minutes.

At each cooperating university, one person (i.e., their representative) will administrate these tests.

The test will be held between 1 and 10 September 2024 (update as of 26 August 2024: 1 and 10 October 2024 for all universities exluding the Prague University of Economics and Business).

The applicants will be evaluated based on these criteria:

1)      The results of the tests counted on a 1–20 point scale;

2)      Motivation letter awarded with 0–5 points.

The representatives will send the result to the Organizing team.

If more students have the same score, these students will be asked for an interview with the Organizing team, which will then decide the order.

The Organizing team will create the list of results. Each cooperating university is granted four preferred slots. This means that each V4 country will be represented by four students from the cooperating university and four from other universities.

If fewer students are interested in the competition at a cooperating university than the number of offered slots (4 per university), then preference will be given to other applicants from other universities of the same country where the cooperating university is located.
